New Aroma Candle in Support of Women’s Reproductive Rights

New Aroma Candle in Support of Women’s Reproductive Rights

Gwyneth Paltrow has launched a new aroma candle called “Hands Off My Vagina” on her Goop website.

The candle was created in collaboration with Heretic Parfumes perfumer Douglas Little and released as a reminder of women’s reproductive rights.

The release of the candle was timed to coincide with an important date, namely, the 49th Anniversary of the decision of the US Supreme Court in the case of Roe v. Wade, due to which women received the constitutional right to terminate a pregnancy.

The candle is priced at $75 each and every $25 from the sale will go to the ACLU Foundation’s Reproductive Freedom Project.

Gwyneth Paltrow: “The word “vagina” holds a lot of power. And yet, there is a recurring need to say: Hands off. Hands off our vaginas in any context where they’re not invited. Your reproductive organs; your choice. In honor of the anniversary of Roe v. Wade on January 22, goop will donate $25 from the sale of each limited-edition candle sold on goop.com and in our retail stores to the ACLU Foundation’s Reproductive Freedom Project.* Head to the link in my bio for more information on ways to aid in the ACLU’s urgent and critical fight to protect our rights and basic freedoms…”

The candle is scented with notes of hinoki wood, coconut milk, vanilla, and damask rose, with a hint of roasted cocoa beans, for a sensual atmosphere.

The new candle will be a continuation of the actress’ scented collection, the most famous of which is the This Smells Like A Vagina candle.
